Unleash Child Potential with Musical Minds Teacher Training

Musical Minds is a aesthetics approach to learning a musical instrument. This course is the cornerstone of the curriculum because it is at this stage of development children are first introduced to the instrument. Musical Minds takes where the child is naturally and brings their experience to music using the SPARCK learning approach, developmental movement, somatic response and mind-body connection. It is education placing well-being at the core of learning which is engaging, inspiring, playful and fun for children. 

Musical Minds uses music and instrumental learning as a way to facilitate developmental growth. It is based on what children can already do and widens their understanding to include musical concepts, musical expression and the mind-body connections necessary to learn an instrument. 

This course is for children ages 3-7 who have a curiosity to play an instrument but have not yet started and those who are just beginning private lessons. Private teachers interested in easing children in naturally to music learning with joy and play will find this course compelling, grounded in science and developmentally appropriate practice, and are invited to register. We will meet four times: one hour for observation of a class and one hour of teacher discussion on Sunday afternoons at 2pm EST August 17-September 7.
